The rainy season generally runs from December to April, with the heaviest rainfall between January and March. Even during these months, rain rarely lasts all day, and the lush green landscapes, dramatic clouds, and ever-changing light create some of the valley’s most beautiful scenery.
The dry season, from May to November, is known for its sunny days, clear mountain views, and ideal conditions for hiking, exploring archaeological sites, and outdoor adventures.
The Sacred Valley enjoys a pleasant climate year-round. Days are typically warm under the Andean sun, while evenings can be cool, making layers essential no matter the season.

What Should I Pack for My Stay at The Lodge Peru?
The Andes are known for experiencing all four seasons in a single day, so the key to staying comfortable is simple: dress in layers.
During your stay in Lamay, Machu Picchu, and Cusco, mornings and evenings can be cool, while afternoons are often warm and sunny. We recommend bringing lightweight clothing that can easily be added or removed throughout the day.

How Can I Arrange My Visit to Machu Picchu?
Our team will be delighted to help you plan your visit to Machu Picchu, making the experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Your full-day journey begins with a private transfer from The Lodge Peru to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your private guide for an approximately two-hour guided tour of the iconic Inca citadel. After your visit, enjoy lunch at the renowned Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel before returning by train and private transfer to the lodge.
As daily entry tickets and train services are limited, we strongly recommend arranging your visit as early as possible—ideally three to four months in advance during the high season (May to September). This allows us to secure the best available train schedules and Machu Picchu entrance tickets for your preferred date.
Machu Picchu is offered as an optional experience and is available for an additional charge. Our reservations team will be happy to provide pricing and organize every detail of your itinerary.
